Early Heer Infantry Visor Cap

$ 92.65

Early Wehrmacht period, older style teller shape German Infantry Visor Cap. This cap was purchased without the Eagle, but care was taken to reattach a matching aluminum-style eagle in the same location as the original pin holes. Overall condition shows a good deal of wear, roughly matching the level of wear of the World War 2 Oberfeldwebel Reichswehr Tunic the cap was purchased with from the son of a veteran. Otherwise there are no major stains, or tears, save one 1/4” hole in the top of the cap, and one inside-top. The visor cap’s lining and sweat band are in tact and in fantastic condition. The rigid sewn-in ring that gives the top of the cap it’s shape has a broken section in the back-right, but does not detract for the visor as a nice display piece. Overall a very nice early example that will remain with the tunic as part of a matching set (very likely by the same original wearer).
